Sister Act (Musical)

Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) presents Sister Act, a joyful and uplifting Broadway musical based on the 1992 hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg. Deloris Van Cartier, an aspiring disco diva, is thrust into witness protection at a San Francisco convent after witnessing a shooting by her gangster boyfriend. What follows is a hilarious, heartwarming story of community, identity, and the power of music. Performed outdoors at Stanley Park’s iconic Malkin Bowl under the summer night sky, this is one of Vancouver’s most beloved annual theatre traditions. Shows run alternating nights with Disney’s The Little Mermaid from July 3 to August 22, 2026. Check the TUTS website for specific performance dates. Gates open at 7:00 pm; show begins at 8:00 pm. Bring a sweater — it can get cool in the evenings. Food, drinks, and a beer/wine bar are available on-site.
