The Vancouver Aquarium is Canada's largest aquarium and a global leader in marine research, ocean literacy education, climate activism, conservation, and marine animal rehabilitation. Established in 1956, it is home to thousands of aquatic species and has connected over 40 million people to the oceans. It was the first aquarium accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and Canada's Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA), and is internationally recognized for its Marine Mammal Rescue Program.
