October opens with a packed calendar. The Vancouver International Film Festival starts its 11-day run, the Canucks play back-to-back home games at Rogers Arena on Saturday and Sunday, and The Neighbourhood headline Rogers Arena on Friday night. Witchilano Paddle

Now in its sixth year, this informal Halloween tradition sees paddleboarders dressed as witches and warlocks head up False Creek from Kitsilano Beach to Granville Island. Gears of War: E-Day
