Bard on the Beach: Macbeth (Theatre)

What’s done cannot be undone. Directed by Stephen Drover, this haunting reimagining of Shakespeare’s darkest tragedy follows the victorious general Macbeth as he murders his way to the throne — and then descends into paranoia and tyranny trying to hold onto it. Playing in repertory on the BMO Mainstage alongside The Merry Wives of Windsor, this stark and bloody counterpoint delivers intense, atmospheric theatre under the open sky at Vanier Park. Expect bold staging, powerful performances, and a production that leaves audiences breathless. Tickets start at $30; check the Bard on the Beach website for specific performance dates and times throughout the summer season.
