Shakespeare’s laugh-out-loud comedy comes alive with music in and around a fictional Vancouver suburb obsessed with soccer — a cheeky nod to the FIFA World Cup summer. The roguish Sir John Falstaff tries to fix his finances by wooing two married women, only to be outwitted at every turn. Directed by Rebecca Northan, this lively production is packed with trickery, mayhem, and original musical numbers woven throughout. It’s a crowd-pleasing night of mischief and merriment under the tent at Vanier Park, with stunning views of English Bay and the North Shore mountains as your backdrop. Family Days are also available on select dates for children of all ages accompanied by an adult. Season runs June 9 to September 19; check the schedule for specific performance nights.
