Canada’s largest marathon and one of the top destination races in the world returns for another spectacular year. The BMO Vancouver Marathon takes runners on a scenic 42.2 km journey starting at Queen Elizabeth Park and finishing in downtown Vancouver, passing beaches, natural parks, and the famous Seawall. The weekend also includes a Half Marathon (7:00 AM start), an 8KM race, and a Kids 2.5KM Fun Run on Saturday, May 2. The two-day Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo (free, open to the public) runs at the Vancouver Convention Centre on Friday and Saturday. Thousands of spectators, block parties, and a fan festival make this a city-wide celebration even if you’re not running. Register early — the event routinely sells out.
