Soar with the Heron Festival (Nature Festival)

Burnaby Village Museum & Deer Lake Park. Celebrate the majestic great blue herons that make their home in Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park at this beloved annual community festival. The Soar with the Heron Festival features family-friendly activities, live bird shows, expert-led nature walks through the heron colony viewing areas, arts and crafts for children, cultural performances, and a market featuring local artisans and environmental organizations. The festival is designed to connect families and community members with local wildlife and inspire stewardship of Burnaby’s natural spaces.
