TAIWANfest returns for Labour Day long weekend with this year’s theme, “Islands in the Wind,” weaving together Taiwanese, Canadian, and Scottish heritage through live music, dance, film, and storytelling. The free street festival closes off Granville Street from Robson to Nelson with an artist market, cultural exhibitions, hands-on craft workshops, and headline performances including the Nanwang Sisters and queer indie rock act P!SCO. It’s one of downtown Vancouver’s largest free cultural celebrations and a great one for all ages.
