Venue: Swallowfield Farm
By Robert Chafe. Little Dipper Theatre presents Tempting Providence, a play about Myra Grimsley, appointed in 1921 as the sole nurse in a remote region of Newfoundland. For the next four years, in this place of wild beauty, she delivered babies, mended broken limbs, cured ailments, fought devastating diseases, and struggled against overwhelming odds. This true story of service, survival, and love is brought to life by four actors, a few chairs, and a clothesline.
