Mathnasium focuses on teaching students in a way that 'makes sense' to each student. Every student has a customized curriculum built and designed to cater their specific learning needs.

Our students come twice a week, each class 1hr for an intensive & boutique experience with our instructors. We're aligned with the BC curriculum, help with entrance test prep and even do homework help!

Tips, tricks, & lifehacks

In math, paying attention to the terminology we use for concepts can have high leverage. Notice that the word "percent" is a compound of 'per' and 'cent'.
We think of 'per' as "for every" and 'cent' as "100"

What is 53% as a fraction? Replace the '%' with "for every 100" and you get ....
"53 for every 100" and thus 53/100!

Children usually have stronger natural language processing skills than arithmetic ones. We should look to leverage that difference whenever possible.
